WotC unveils newest book! Wildemount, here we come!

Critical Role fans rejoice! The newest Wizards of the Coast reveal is a campaign setting for our beloved Wildemount and with it comes a plethora of goodies!

Great news for all Critical Role fans! The acclaimed show led by Matthew Mercer has long been backed up by official platforms such as D&D Beyond and although support from Wizards of the Coast has been clear for some time now, with the likes of Christ Perkins himself guest starring in the latest campaign, today’s news officially mark the day that Critical Role became an integral part of the Dungeons and Dragons history.

Just earlier today Wizards of the coast revealed the title for their newest upcoming book: Explorer’s Guide to Wildemount.

For those of you unfamiliar with the show, Wildemount is one of the continents of Exandria, the world created by Matthew Mercer. Of course if you would like to find out more information yourself, all you have to do is catch the show on Thursday nights, since the current campaign takes place in this same continent.

Other than a completely new setting, you can also expect new subclasses, spells, magic items, monsters, and all the good stuff from this book. Heck, we’re told we can look forward to getting our hands on some Dunamancy! How exciting is that? As if that wasn’t enough, our sources tell us that the book will be exactly 304 pages long and will even include four different exciting adventures to test out this new setting.

Dunamancy! Who’s excited for some Dunamancy!

On an interesting note, those of you familiar with the show will also know that this technically marks the second book based on the world of Exandria, the first one being the Tal’Dorei Campaign Setting that was released by Ronin Publishing back in 2017. I don’t know about you folks, but I’m looking forwards to seeing all the improvements this newest book is bound to get now that it is officially backed by Wizards of the Coast.

The official release date is currently March 17, but you can head over to Amazon to preorder a copy right this instant.

In the meantime, if you would like to learn more about the creative process and the significance of this newest release, here’s Matt Mercer himself talking about this monumental project:
